Our client is a leader in healthcare innovation who provide technology-based products and services to large corporate and strategic customers around the world. The market in which they operate has experienced and continues to experience significant growth and consolidation creating opportunity and challenges.

A Director of Corporate & Strategic Accounts was required to lead and develop overall corporate account direction and strategy throughout the Western European region. Responsible for leading locally based corporate account teams; maintaining and developing strong business relationships with large corporate accounts to achieve long term sustainable growth.


A targeted research based search was required to identify and engage leaders with in-depth experience of driving strategic key account activity in a multi-country environment within healthcare, FMCG, bio-tech or pharmaceutical organisations. A Pan-European search with specific focus on UK, Nordics, Benelux and DACH regions was undertaken.

Following comprehensive market mapping and networking over 200 people were initially identified from within and outside our immediate network. An anonymous brief was circulated and candidates were invited to have an exploratory conversation with Andrew Hobman, Director responsible for leading the search.

Compatibility, motivation and genuine interest was considered in a two-way conversation before both parties agreed to advance in the process. A detailed recruitment pack prepared by Brunswick Executive Search was provided allowing candidates to build their understanding and undertake their own research.


After further assessment and following face to face meetings with Andrew a shortlist of highly motivated and engaged candidates was shared and reviewed with the client who choose to include a selection of candidates located throughout Europe in the formal and comprehensive assessment process.

Brunswick Executive Search co-ordinated meetings including international travel arrangements for a geographically dispersed candidates and members of the senior leadership team located throughout Europe.

The successful candidate was identified from outside of our immediate network resulting from our research and joined the business in 2020
