Derek has worked at board level for over 30 years, within varying sectors and in companies ranging from start-up, SME to blue chip / corporate, including a lengthy successful period within the Electronic Security sector. Derek’s corporate experience included Sales Director at ADT Fire and Security and before that he was Divisional Director (Sales and Operations) at Modern Security Systems.
Following a successful corporate career, Derek worked as an Interim and Non-Executive Director before entering the world of Executive Search & Interim Management in 2006. He quickly earned a reputation for being able to relate to client issues in a way that ensures well-matched shortlists are delivered consistently. Many of the relationships Derek formed a decade ago are still regular clients today.
Outside of business Derek’s main interests lie in music – his family is steeped in music teaching and performance plus Derek has conducted and sung in choirs for many years – and relaxation, outdoors preferably.
